The Korean Association of Language Studies (KALS)
- 1. Qualification
- To submit your paper, you need to sign up first for a membership of KALS. You should click the first bar Home, Log In, JOIN, Korean at the top of the main page to be a member.
Then you are qualified for your submission.
- 2. Submission
- You have to download Application Papers’ file at the Manuscript Submission Instruction page before logging in to the online submission site (http://submission.jkals.or.kr). After that, you can submit your paper on the site.
- 3. Deadlines
- • The last day of February (the 1st Issue)
• The last day of June (the 2nd Issue)
• The last day of October (the 3rd Issue)
- 4. Review & Publication Fees
- • Review Fee : ₩60,000
• Publication Fee : ₩150,000 (up to 21 pages) and ₩10,000 for each additional page
• Research Grant Paper : ₩300,000 (up to 21 pages) and ₩10,000 for each additional page

- 5. Review Process
- • If your paper is received, the notice related to its receipt and future processing schedule will be sent to you.
• To secure objectivity and validity of manuscript review, more than two reviewers will be appointed for each manuscript.
• After the 1st review is finished, you will have to correct your paper and the decision of publishing your paper will be made.
• After the reports from the reviewers and the final decision for publication are made by the editorial board, you will have to fill out the consent form regarding its publication and turn it in on the our website.

- 4. Abstract
- It is necessary that its abstract should be written to complete the paper for this association’s journal, which lies in the first page written within 200 words, or 15 lines.
- 5. Key words
- 4 or 5 words should be included, listed in the just below of the abstract.
- 6. Reference
- It should be written just after the body. That is, it should not be written on another page without no reason. It is arranged in the order of Korean, English, and Japanese, In addition, Each Language should be written in alphabetical order and keep the APA style.
- 7. Author Note
- It should be written on the last page’s bottom left, put in the order of Author’s Name, Affiliation, Address, Phon Number, Fax Number, and Email Address. However, Author’s information should not appear in the body of your manuscript.
- 8. Submitted Manuscripts should it should keep the association's paper format.
